HOLY FRAKING FRUCKFRACKFRIKKITY!
MOST AMAZING NIGHT OF MY LIFEEE :(
If you've been keeping up with my blog I bought tickets on SEPTEMBER 11TH for a Jack's Mannequin concert, which was TODAY!!! AND LET ME TELL YOU, THEY ARE THE MOST AMAZING THING YOU'LL EVER SEE LIVE IN YOUR LIFE!
[I have a feeling this is gonna be long, so even if you don't wanna read the whole thing I'm writing this for myself so I can remember this day forever and ever and ever and ever]
Kay so the amazingness started even we left home because at first we were expecting the show to be Bloc Party, Jack's Mannequin, then Panic! At the Disco, but then it turned out Bloc Party wasn't gonna be there and it was friggin PLAIN WHITE T'S!! And me and my sister loved them before the concert anywho (and uhh the Bloc Party's music...isn't good :).
So then we took the drive to Toronto and our dad wasn't completely sure of the directions I guess so he dropped us at the back of the coliseum, and we just so happened to be dropped off right in front of the tour buses sO we knew where to come to after the show for autographs ;D. Anyways we walked around to the front (and the way smelt like skunk and weed which was not pretty) and we got passed the mean security and this crazy security guard that raped me cause I bet she just wanted to get in my pants. Anywho after that we lined up to buy clothes 'cept it wasn't exactly a line because there was giant mobs of people in front of tables but my sister pushed her skinny way through pretty fast and I got my SUPER SCHMEXAY ($50) JACK'S MANNEQUIN SWEATERRR! And right now I love it more than anything so you better love it too or get used to it cause I'm gonna wear it like every freaking day xD.
So into the show we get. My sister had two friends going as well and instead of sitting in the seats we bought the four of us snuck into front section with the best view in the entire coliseum...and it just so happens that the best seats in the whole place are the only ones without security guarding which is amazing xD. So Plain White T's were performing and they were AMAZING. They had great energy and if you haven't heard of them you should REALLLYYY download 'Hey There Delilah' and 'Hate' because they are FABULOUSSS.
So then after they were done this security guy in front a few rows came to the people beside us and they were like 'Let me see your tickets!' and like everyone in this secret section wasn't actually supposed to be there so the peopel argued with the security for a bit and eventually kicked them out. But while they were arguing, thanks to my big brain, I told my sister we should casually leave like we were going to buy something. So we left and the guard had no time to ask us stuff but we knew we'd have to wait until the next band started before we could sneak in again in the dark. So we left and bought Plain White T T-shirts because they were just that amazing xD. And then on our way out we ran into some old security guy and he asked us to see our tickets and we thought we were busted so we just showed them to him and he was like 'Oh, your seats are over here -points to back of coliseum-' and me and my sister were like just like 0___O WHAAAA. Cause the seats were pretty much TERRIBLEEE XDD. But anyways. The plan worked and we snuck in past the old man while the lights were dark into the amazingest seats in the house.
AND MY FRAKING FAVOURITE BAND IN THE ENTIRE WORLD PLAYED; JACK'S MANNEQUIN<333. AND IT WAS THEIR FIRST EVER EVER EVER TIME IN TORONTO! BRUPBRUPBRUP!!! [/stolenfromkathleen] Seriously I've loved them for like a year now and that was only the cd, even though its the first concert I've ever been to I can seriously say they are probably the most amazing thing I'll ever see live. Andrew McMahon is now my idol in life :). They were so energetic and so professional and the music like beat up my frail rib cage and it was all so amazing. I sang the words to every song and I just loved it so much you should have seen me cause I was shivering and getting goosebumps all over myself because it was like the best moment in my life right there, in like the very front row, watching my favourite band on earth sing their beautiful hearts out xD. We took quite a few pictures and like three videos (HQ!) and I'm going to treasure them FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER. I can't stress how amazing they were though. Now I pretty much can't go to another concert again in my lifetime because they'll all be compared to this one and any one after this one will suck. It set the concert standard over the rainbow and through space and higher than anything that thinks its the highest thing. And to top if all off Andrew ended the set by standing on the keyboard which was schmexay and symbolic B).
And then we had this intermission thing and I'm really desperate to remember everything about tonight because I wan't to remember it forever xD. Well there was this one inccident where my sister and her friend went to some sorta restricted section because the Plain White T's were sitting there alone watching P!@TD from the side and my sister jumped over chairs and stuff to them, then security comes rushing out and they're like GET BACK TO YOUR SEATS. and I was still sitting in my seat like 'Pwf. Meanies'. Then my sister started walking back, and the Plain White T's started following her! And then they took pictures with her and signed her t-shirt and they were the nicest guys ever to do that.
While all that was happening with my sister I was stuck with this creepy lady that sad beside me. She was like 40, and the biggest P!@TD fan ever. She told her daughters to come take their seats (the ones beside in which me and my sister were sitting in xDDD) but her rebellious daughters kept screaming down from the mosh pit that they wanted to stay there and that they didn't wan't their seats. So me and Steph kept our seats in the exclusive section and for the grumpy mother we are thankful. But between bands they showed these music videos and during one of them there was this freakishly skinny girl and the mom asked me 'WHO'S THAT ANOREXIC SKANK?' and I was like..'AHHH I DON'T KNOW LEAVE ME ALONE :'('. And once Panic came out she started like grinding with herself and whistling out loud and it was reallyyyy scary. Then the girls in front of us stood up on the railings and she was like 'I PAID TO SEE THEM NOT YOU!'. And I was like..lawl. But this woman was seriously annoying me xD. But I appreciate her all the same because I wouldn't have had such amazing seats without her.
And Panic was really something else cause for a while I thought I didn't like them but they put together an amazing show and I knew ever word to every song and it was so energetic and they had this whole circus theme and their dancers were amazing too. Makes me love them all over again and then I bought a shirt xDD (in the end we spend like 200 bucks on five shirts :0). I know I'm not emphazing Panic but I was too busy being freaked out by grinding woman beside me. Still, I loved them.
And then after the show (10:00) we went around back to the tour buses and luckily there were only like 30 people or so when there are ususally more. And my ears were buzzing for like 20 minutes and I was literally half deaf like never before. It was sorta creepy cause I couldn't hear what everyone was saying and I'm pretty sure every time I talked I was screaming. Anywhoo at the buses we waited like and hour and then Andrew McMahon walked out the Coliseum and everyone started screaming their eyes out and having heart attacks. Oh btw this whole time we were standing in like horse poo and hay which is absolutely disgusting cause there was probably a circus the day before XDD. Anyways he walked onto his bus but told us that he'd be back in two seconds :D:D. So we waited fifteen minutes xDD. But then he finally came out! And luckily my sister and me pushed our way to the front and he signed her tshirt and our cd cover<3333. And the guitarist asked if he could use the sharpie to sign everyone's things so ANDREW MCMAHON HELD OUR SHARPIE FOR THREE MINUTES. BEAT THAT. And he didn't have enough time to take pictures with anyone but we stuck the camera in his face quite a few times and I hope he's not blind. But anyways we have his signiature and pictures and I'm fraking the happiest boy in the world xD. And I'm seriously hoping I didn't forget a thing right now because I want this preserved into my mind for the rest of time.
So we got home around 12ish I think and now I have history and english homework to do. Ugh Kathleen as amazing as a day is history still finds some way to make it worse xD.
REMEMBER EVERYONE THAT NOVEMBER 16TH 2006 WAS THE BEST DAY OF JONATHAN JAMES WONG'S LIFE.
